Biography
Daniel graduated from East Wilkes High School in 1993. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a degree in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School in 1997. Daniel then attended law school at Wake Forest University, graduating in 2000 in the top twenty-five percent of his class. Following law school, Daniel returned to North Wilkesboro and joined the firm of Vannoy, Colvard, Triplett & Vannoy, PLLC. He was named as a partner in 2008. He is now a partner in the successor firm, Vannoy, Colvard, Triplett & Johnson.
Daniel has served as the President of the 23rd Judicial District Bar (2006-2007 and 2020-2021) and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer. He serves on the board of directors for Wilkes ADAP and the Wilkes Rescue Group.
Experience
Daniel Johnson was licensed to practice law in August of 2000. Since that time, he has represented clients in civil matters, domestic litigation, personal injury, social security disability, and workers compensation cases. He has also assisted clients with business planning, corporate and business law, estate planning and real estate. Daniel has represented clients at trial and appellate levels in state and federal court. He is admitted to practice in federal court in the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
