William was born and raised in Wilkes County. After graduating from West Wilkes High School, William pursued a degree in Trust and Wealth Management from Campbell University. William furthered his education at Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and has returned to Wilkes County to provide quality legal services in his hometown. William joined Vannoy, Colvard, Triplett and Johnson PLLC as an associate attorney in 2025.

Outside of the courthouse, William enjoys working on his family farm and traveling with his wife, Leah.
